Collection: Natural Soap

Our natural soap bars are handmade in the UK by the traditional cold process, from plant oils such as olive, coconut and castor, and shea butter. Every handmade soap here is palm oil free and free from artificial chemicals, and we've chosen each one from small makers whose soaps we love and use ourselves.

Which natural soap?

• Unscented soap for dry or reactive skin: our Calendula Soap, made with our own homegrown calendula flowers and a silky, gentle lather. Or try our goat's milk soap with manuka honey and calendula, also unscented, with a natural sweet aroma from the honey.
• For a scented bar: Lavender & Cedarwood or Citrus & Rosemary, scented with essential oils.
• For hard-working hands: Working Hands Soap, with pumice and comfrey root to shift soil, grease and paint. Follow with a hand balm.
• For oily or blemish-prone skin: natural sulphur soap by The Aleppo Soap Company, made with olive and laurel oils and 5% natural sulphur. Use it just once or twice a week. It's part of our perioral dermatitis approach, and suits teenage skin too.

What about your face?

Any soap, however gentle, is a foaming cleanser and can leave skin feeling tight. So for your face we recommend the Oil Cleansing Method with Beauty Balm, which lifts away make-up and grime without stripping the natural oils your skin needs. The Sulphur Soap is the exception, used once or twice a week.

Make your bar last

Palm oil is what makes most soap hard. Ours are palm oil free, so they soften if left in a puddle. Keep your bar on a draining wooden soap dish and it will last for weeks.
