When it comes to atopic dermatitis treatment, there are products that can help manage it, but there is no such thing as a cure. An atopic individual has a predisposition to allergies and atopic dermatitis is the name of the most common form of eczema. If you or your child have been diagnosed with 'eczema' it is very likely to be atopic dermatitis. Sometimes children appear to grow out of it or it just goes away. Avoiding allergens and identifying what triggers it for you are important strategies in the management of atopic dermatitis.

Atopic dermatitis is without doubt connected to damaged skin barrier.  Preservatives, fragrances and irritants in skincare products also aggravate the condition in many sufferers. Emulsifiers damage skin barrier over time, and products that change the PH of the skin detrimentally affect the microbiome, which in turn affects skin barrier. Calendula Cream is fragranced with therapeutic essential oils. These essential oils can help with atopic dermatitis for some, or can cause a reaction for others. We recommend trying this if you have mild atopic dermatitis and like a fragranced product. (suitable for adults and children over 3years. - Vegan)

Be aware Lyonsleaf products don't contain antimicrobial preservatives to kill bacteria entering the product. (these ingredients aggravate sensitive skin) Bacteria cannot multiply in the water-free environment, but they should not be used on broken skin of children under 3yrs Use clean fingers or a spatula to remove product from the jar.
