Collection: Calendula Cream

When skin needs extra TLC, calendula is the herb we reach for, and calendula cream is our speciality. For over 15 years in Somerset, we have made it from start to finish: growing the flowers (now with help from local growers), infusing them into oil, then using that oil to make our skincare. Whether you call it calendula cream, balm or ointment, here's how to choose.

Which calendula cream is right for you?

Calendula and Marshmallow Balm: for very dry, cracked or rough skin

  • Our most hydrating balm, with softening marshmallow root
  • Unfragranced, suitable from 4 weeks
  • Loved for hands, lips, heels and dry patches

Zinc and Calendula Cream: a soothing barrier cream

  • 18% non-nano zinc oxide forms a breathable, water-repellent barrier
  • Unfragranced, suitable from 4 weeks; a four-time Gold-winning nappy cream
  • Popular for problem, oily or blemish-prone skin. Dry skin? Use it over a moisturising balm
  • Soothes an irritated scalp without making hair greasy

Calendula Cream – Whipped & Fragranced: a light daily moisturiser

  • Whipped with shea butter and gently fragranced with essential oils
  • A lovely face moisturiser that also works top to toe
  • Vegan. Adults and children over 3 only, because of the essential oils

Comfrey and Calendula Rub: a warming massage balm

  • For tired muscles after exercise or a long day
  • Contains warming essential oils, so not for very sensitive skin. Over 3s only

Why our calendula creams are different

Most calendula creams contain water, so they need preservatives to stop bugs growing and emulsifiers to hold oil and water together. Both can irritate sensitive skin. Ours contain no water at all, so they need neither. That's what makes them pure calendula cream: nothing artificial, just plant oils, butters, waxes and herbs.

Because there's no water, they're undiluted, so a little goes a long way.

Grown in Somerset

Our Growing Collective of local growers supplies more calendula each season. You can see the difference fresh flowers make: our oil, made with freshly dried flowers, is deep orange, while many commercial calendula oils look like plain sunflower oil.
