This product is fragranced with essential oils. It is also whipped to make it lighter so it is very much like a beauty product. Many customers find this is a great product for facial use, although it can be used top to toe. The potent dose of calendula makes this perfect as a daily moisturiser for any skin that needs a little extra help to stay in tip top condition. Use after oil cleansing with Lyonsleaf Beauty Balm

For more demanding skin, we recommend our Zinc and Calendula Cream which is cooling and can be used to keep oil levels in perfect balance. Or for very dry or rough skin we recommend our Calendula and Marshmallow Balm which is super hydrating and softening. Both these alternative products are unfragranced and suitable for infants.

Essential oils of: lavendula angustifiolia [lavender] • boswellia serrata [frankincense] • juniperus communis [juniper] • pelargonium graveolens [geranium]. Note: the essential oils naturally contain: citral • citronellol • eugenol • geraniol • limonene • linolool.

Directions & Guidance

Apply to skin as required.

Use clean fingers or a spatula.

Made from undiluted high-performing ingredients, you need use only very sparingly.

For a better calming effect apply frequently.

Non-comedogenic, suitable for facial use and eye area.

Not suitable for infants under 36 months.

Not suitable for those with an allergy to the daisy or aster family, (known as a Sesquiterpene Lactone allergy).

This is not a sterile product and it contains no antimicrobial preservatives. Caution should be exercised around broken skin especially if the immune system is compromised.

As with all skin care products test a small area of skin and observe for 24hrs to be sure there is no reaction before applying generally. Should irritation occurs discontinue use.

Storage & Shipping

Store all Lyonsleaf products in a cool dark place to preserve beneficial compounds and avoid solid products melting.

Stored properly and unopened all products will keep indefinitely. Use within 12 months of opening.

If a solid product does melt, reset it in a refrigerator. Products containing shea butter should be warmed to a liquid state and then reset quickly in a refrigerator to avoid the shea butter forming grainy lumps as it hardens.

Very nice product

Using this for 3 years now

I cannot highly recommend this calendula cream. My 3 daughters and I have been using it for 3 years now (hard to get husband to use anything that comes in nice packaging!).

It is just the right oil content for my naturally dry skin. I apply it as the last barrier cream in the night and wake up to the most radiant and soft skin in the morning.

Regular use over the years has now reduced the general dryness of my skin.

I will never switch to another product for as long as the lovely people at Lyonsleaf make this cream.

Amazing

I have had a really bad flare up for my eczema ever since having covid on my hands. And being a nurse hasn’t helped with the constant hand washing. For nearly a year and a half I have been prescribed all sorts of creams, emollients and topical steroids with no improvement and even getting worse.
I ordered Calendula on a whim thinking I had nothing to lose and the improvement in just a few weeks of use has been unbelievable. The tiny itchy blisters are gone, my skin is no longer cracked and dry and sore and I’m not longer worried about having scabby hands in my wedding photos for next year.
Honestly please try this product if like me you have been through the wringer with GP and OTC treatments. It is amazing.

I never leave reviews but after a few years of buying these beautiful products I feel so strongly that you know how fabulous I think they are! After a bereavement 7 years ago left me with all sorts of baffling physical symptoms including sore skin on my face I finally stumbled across your company and have been using the beauty balm ever since with brilliant results and a much healthier skincare routine based on natural products. I'm now hooked on the calendar cream which I use morning (a smidge patted in after oil cleansing with the beauty balm) and night (a decent dollop, again after oil cleansing) and enjoy a good lungful of this amazing product twice a day. I'm sad that you're not permitted to discuss medical issues and the benefits of your products as this really works. At the risk of going on, my sister and daughter also use the calendula and marshmallow balm for very dry skin which is really effective. Thank you for the best products

How Quickly do you despatch?

We despatch orders Monday to Friday and we always dispatch the same working day (if ordered before 12 noon) or the following working day.

Will my skin react to Lyonsleaf Products

Our products are all 100% natural and free from all artificial chemicals. Because they are water free we can even avoid antimicrobial preservatives and emulsifiers. For this reason it is very unusual for anyone to react to our products at all. However some people are sensitive to essential oils, so if you are super-sensitive please choose unfragranced product options. Even less common, it is possible to be allergic to calendula and other herbs, so it is always important to do a patch test. In the unlikely event that you do have an adverse reaction, you can return your product for a full refund. We also sell samples of most products so you can try before you invest in a big pot.

Why is the pot so small?

Lyonsleaf products are water free and contain only the finest, plant oils, butters natural waxes and mineral ingredients. Most high Street products are up to 80% water, which means you need to apply them much more liberally and frequently. You will find you only need to use Lyonsleaf products very sparingly to achive good hydration that lasts all day. Products that are rich in soothing herbs can be used more frequently to achieve the best calming effect, but they still only need to be used sparingly. So these little pots go a long way, using less packaging and less transportation resources.

Are Lyonsleaf products vegan?

Much of the Lyonsleaf range is vegan, but we do use organic beeswax in some products. When it came to choosing a suitable wax, we decided it would be better for the environment to choose a farming method that promotes pollinators rather than a vegetable mono-crop that causes deforestation and loss of habitat. We only use organic beeswax as organic farming standards require farmers to have high welfare standards for Bees.
