Collection: Creams for skin prone to dermatitis

Dermatitis simply means inflamed skin, and it covers several quite different conditions. The best cream for you depends on which type you have, so we've set out where to start for each. If you're not sure, our Dermatitis guide explains the main types and how to tell them apart.

Which type of dermatitis?

  • Eczema (atopic dermatitis): dry, itchy skin, often starting in childhood and alongside asthma or hay fever. Shop creams for skin prone to eczema.
  • Contact dermatitis: a reaction to something touching your skin, such as soap, detergent, cosmetics or metals, and often on the hands. Shop creams for skin prone to contact dermatitis.
  • Perioral dermatitis: small bumps around the mouth, nose or eyes. Shop our perioral dermatitis collection.
  • Seborrheic dermatitis: flaky, sometimes greasy scaling on the scalp, face or chest. We don't currently make a product suitable for this, and our Dermatitis guide explains why.

Our calendula creams at a glance

  • Zinc and Calendula Cream is cooling and water-repellent, for hot or weepy patches and as a barrier. It can be drying, so pair it with a balm. From 4 weeks.
  • Calendula and Marshmallow Balm is deeply hydrating and non-drying, for very dry, rough or cracked skin. From 4 weeks.
  • Calendula Cream (Natural Emollient) is lighter, whipped and fragranced with essential oils. It isn't our first choice for contact dermatitis. Adults and children over 3.
  • Pure Baby Balm is our simplest unfragranced moisturiser. From 4 weeks.
