Zinc and Calendula Cream is a 100% natural, award-winning, soothing emollient barrier cream suitable for use on the face and body for adults, children and babies from 4 weeks.
Lyonsleaf Zinc and Calendula Cream contains a potent dose of our organic calendula along with non-nano zinc oxide at 18%. This product can keep all sorts of potentially difficult skin clear, calm and in a happy place.
100% NATURAL FACIAL ROUTINE
Because zinc is a natural, gentle astringent, those with potentially oily skin can use it to keep sebum levels in perfect balance. Use more often when skin is oily and less often if the skin is dry until you find the perfect natural facial routine for your skin.
We also have a lot of customers with dry skin and skin prone to eczema, perioral dermatitis, acne and rosacea who also like this product (see customer reviews).
Be sure to use sparingly and rub in well - if you look white, you have used too much! If the whiteness on your face is an issue you can use it with powder mineral foundation to match your skin tone. The powder foundation can be applied over the top of the Zinc and Calendula Cream with a kabuki or powder brush, or mix the powder with Zinc and Calendula Cream in your palm to create a liquid foundation. We also sell colour correctors and a whole range of mineral make-up for a non-reactive, 100% natural facial routine that will conceal, even skin tone and calm irritation while nourishing and protecting.
We suggest you begin using Zinc and Calendula Cream once a day after oil cleansing with a Lyonsleaf Beauty Balm and then assess if you need to use it more often or less often. Whilst zinc oxide can have a drying effect on the skin, in some cases this is part of the skin's normal recovery process. We recommend you research online and try to talk to other people who have used zinc oxide products to improve problem skin. Cosmetic regulations prevent us discussing these issues on our website.
Zinc and Calendula Cream is an ideal emollient barrier cream. It forms a breathable, protective and moisture repellent barrier. So, it is perfect for babies' bottoms, hands that are often in water or to protect fragile skin when bathing. Be warned! - it's so water repellant it won't easily wash off of clothes or cloth nappies. We have won many awards for this product in Nappy Cream, Problem Skin and Hand Care categories.

Storage & Shipping
Store all Lyonsleaf products in a cool dark place to preserve beneficial compounds and avoid solid products melting.
Stored properly and unopened all products will keep indefinitely. Use within 12 months of opening.
If a solid product does melt, reset it in a refrigerator. Products containing shea butter should be warmed to a liquid state and then reset quickly in a refrigerator to avoid the shea butter forming grainy lumps as it hardens.

I regularly use this cream on my sensitive skin and would definitely recommend it to anyone with any sensitive skin or allergy issues. Always found it to be great for my skin and mix it with the calendula and marshmallow cream in winter to create a mix suitable for the colder weather / drier skin conditions. So far so good, my perioral dermatitis has gone despite regular exposure to inhaled steroids at work.
I use this to moisturise my skin following a flare up of Perioral Dermatitis. It’s light, creamy and non- greasy. It re-hydrates my dry skin really quickly. The only negative I have is that it leaves a pale hue on the skin, so if you’re going make up free, it can leave you looking quite ghostly.
This product does exactly what it claims it heals it promotes healing. Its first class could not do without it thank you so much..

Will my skin react to Lyonsleaf Products
Our products are all 100% natural and free from all artificial chemicals. Because they are water free we can even avoid antimicrobial preservatives and emulsifiers. For this reason it is very unusual for anyone to react to our products at all. However some people are sensitive to essential oils, so if you are super-sensitive please choose unfragranced product options. Even less common, it is possible to be allergic to calendula and other herbs, so it is always important to do a patch test. In the unlikely event that you do have an adverse reaction, you can return your product for a full refund. We also sell samples of most products so you can try before you invest in a big pot.
Why is the pot so small?
Lyonsleaf products are water free and contain only the finest, plant oils, butters natural waxes and mineral ingredients. Most high Street products are up to 80% water, which means you need to apply them much more liberally and frequently. You will find you only need to use Lyonsleaf products very sparingly to achive good hydration that lasts all day. Products that are rich in soothing herbs can be used more frequently to achieve the best calming effect, but they still only need to be used sparingly. So these little pots go a long way, using less packaging and less transportation resources.
Are Lyonsleaf products vegan?
Much of the Lyonsleaf range is vegan, but we do use organic beeswax in some products. When it came to choosing a suitable wax, we decided it would be better for the environment to choose a farming method that promotes pollinators rather than a vegetable mono-crop that causes deforestation and loss of habitat. We only use organic beeswax as organic farming standards require farmers to have high welfare standards for Bees.
