Lyonsleaf Beauty Balm is heartily recommended by several celebrity make-up artists as a primer for use under make-up.

A primer prevents your foundation sinking into dry skin and appearing patchy. Primers are usually quite rich and it seems Lyonsleaf Beauty Balm is perfect for most customers (fragranced or unfragranced available). Because it is made with over 95% organic tropical oils rich in antioxidants, it is perfect for daytime wear as it will maintain protection against photo-damage from free radicals. Choose the unfragranced version if you are very sensitive.

If you have difficult skin you may prefer one of our calendula products. Our Zinc and Calendula Cream has an SPF of 10 and is great for oily skin or skin prone to redness or breakouts. Our original Calendula Cream is whipped and fragranced and our Calendula and Marshmallow Balm is great for very dry skin.

We recommend applying very sparingly when using as a primer and allowing a few moments for the product to absorb before applying make-up.
