Marshmallow root is known in skincare circles as an anti-ageing herb due to its ability to hydrate, soften and repair the roughest, driest skin.

It can be used to gently hydrate the most delicate skin on eyelids or tackle really hard skin on feet. If you want softer younger looking skin, marshmallow root is an essential addition to your skincare regime.

Lyonsleaf have four skincare products with Marshmallow Root.

Calendula and Marshmallow Balm is rich in anti-inflammatory Calendula and hydrating, softening Marshmallow root. This is a great product to help manage dry eczema and other chronic dry skin conditions like psoriasis. It's a great product to keep in your hand bag incase you need a lip balm, a 'there there' balm, something to soothe nettle rash or heat rash or a fantastic softening hand balm. 

Soften and Rejuvenate Marshmallow Facial Oil is really good for softening skin and boosting essential fatty acids that the skin can't make itself. The oil contains a huge amount of marshmallow root extract as well as borage and rosehip oil which are full of essential fatty acids. These fatty acids are not very sun stable so the facial oil should be used at night. The oil is available in an unfragranced version too for very sensitive skin. 

Foot Balm has softening marshmallow root to combat hard skin as well as comfrey to soothe achey tired feet. It also has coconut oil and essential oils of lemon grass, lavender, clary sage and myrrh to combat fungal infections

Zinc and Calendula Cream also contains agood dose of marshmallow root extract which goes along way to mitigating the slightly drying nature of zinc oxide. Zinc and calendula are both powerful anti-inflammatories, but some customers fid the zinc can be drying even with the added marshmallow root extract. If this is the case we advise alternating with the Calendula and Marshmallow Balm
