It's really important to nourish your skin with a diverse range of fatty acids with different chain lengths in order to give your skin the tools it needs to manufacture ceramides. Ceramides make up 50% of the natural oils that create a breathable seal to keep moisture locked in and pathogens out.

Some of these fatty acids are sun stable while others will oxidise in sunlight and cause free radical damage. Free radical damage contributes to premature ageing and can even lead to cancer.

At Lyonsleaf we have some products that are rich in linoleic acid and gamma-linolenic acid. these intensively nourishing products are best used at night when your skin is not exposed to sunlight or in areas under clothes that are not exposed to sunlight.
