Collection: Natural Skincare Routine for Dry Skin

Dry skin needs richness and consistency more than anything else, plenty of nourishing oils, minimal stripping, and time for your skin's own barrier to do its job. Here's a simple skincare routine for dry skin, covering morning and evening.

Morning Routine

  1. Rinse – A splash of cool water is usually enough. Avoid anything foaming or stripping first thing.
  2. Moisturise – Apply Beauty Balm generously over your whole face. It's rich in sun-stable tropical oils, making it the right choice for daytime use.
  3. Sun protection – If you'll be in direct sun, apply a mineral sunscreen (zinc oxide or titanium dioxide) before makeup.
  4. Makeup (optional) – Our mineral make-up range works well over Beauty Balm and won't add to any dryness.

Evening Routine

  1. Cleanse – Massage a pea-sized amount of Beauty Balm over dry skin to dissolve makeup, sunscreen and the day's build-up. Remove gently with a warm, damp flannel. See our Oil Cleansing Method page for the technique and why it works.
  2. Moisturise – Apply Marshmallow Soften and Rejuvenate Facial Oil over your whole face. It's rich in linoleic acid, exactly the kind of repair-focused ingredient best used at night rather than during UV exposure (see our Free Radicals page for why).
  3. Keep flare-prone areas in check – If you have patches that occasionally flare, rosacea, eczema-prone areas, or similar, layer Calendula and Marshmallow Balm or our fragranced Calendula Cream Natural Emollient over those specific spots as needed.

Consistency matters more than complexity. Give your skin time to adjust to any new routine, and keep it simple and rich, that's really all dry skin needs.

If your skin becomes more reactive, or a flare-up needs more than the products above, our Natural Skincare Routine for Dry & Sensitive Skin covers more targeted options, including how to use zinc and calendula safely.
