Organic Skincare

At Lyonsleaf we believe being 100% natural is just as important (if not more) as being organic when it comes to skincare. After all what’s the point of using lovely pure organic ingredients and then adding a harsh chemical to preserve your recipe? The only way to avoid adding an artificial (anti-microbial) preservative like parabens, methylisothiazolinone (MIT) or phenoxyethanol, is to be water-free. 

We do use a huge amount of organic ingredients, many of our products are over 90% organic, but as yet we are not certified organic. We choose organic ingredients when the benefits justify the cost. This policy allows us to bring incredibly pure skincare at a very affordable price. 

We also grow our own herbs to organic standards and the field we use to grow them went into organic conversion in 2018. We were granted organic status from the Soil Association in 2020.
