Benefits of Natural Zinc Cream

Natural zinc cream is perfect for acne prone and oily skin because it can rebalance skin that over produces sebum. But its use is not restricted to these skin types.

Both Zinc Oxide and Calendula are calming ingredients suitable for sensitive and problem skin. It is vital for these skin types that skin creams are natural and free from harsh preservatives which can be very reactive as well as emulsifiers which can damage skin barrier.

Zinc Oxide Cream is often discussed in support groups for those suffering with rosacea, acne or perioral dermatitis and Lyonsleaf Zinc and Calendula Cream is often praised for being gentle and effective

Lyonsleaf Zinc And calendula cream is also water repellant and can be used as a natural barrier cream or a natural nappy rash cream. Its moisture repellant nature makes it a good barrier cream for genital herpes and  lichen sclerosus.

Zinc and Calendula Cream is a great product for many family skincare issues and suitable for any skin prone to inflammation and redness. It can be used on infants from 4 weeks.

We do have some customers who use Zinc and Calendula Cream to calm eczema and psoriasis, It's especially helpful for burning or weeping eczema maybe less helpful for dry eczema, because the zinc oxide can be quite drying. Customers with weepy eczema report it also works really well in conjunction with Dead Sea Salt baths. The drying nature of Zinc and Calendula Cream makes it good option to calm blistering rashes including chickenpox.

Some of our customers like to use it along side our Calendula and Marshmallow Balm, which is not quite as anti-inflammatory, but it can mitigate the drying effect of the zinc. If you have issues with the zinc oxide drying the skin, you can use the two products alternately and try to find the right balance for you.
