Atopic Dermatitis
"Atopic dermatitis" is the clinical name doctors and dermatologists use for what's commonly called eczema, they're the same condition, just two different names for it. "Atopic" refers to a tendency toward allergic-type conditions that often run together, in families and in the same person, atopic dermatitis, asthma and hay fever are known as the "atopic triad," having one makes you more likely to have the others too.
