Mineral Foundation - Barefaced Beauty

Mica (CI 77019), Zinc Oxide, may contain Ultramarines (CI 77007), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891).

We recommend using Lyonsleaf Beauty Balm or Zinc and Calendula Cream as a primer. Apply sparingly and allow the product to fully absorb first. Tap a small amount of foundation into the lid of the jar and swirl your brush into it, then tap the brush onto the plastic sifter to shake any excess powder back into the jar. Apply the powder in short, feathery, downward strokes so that the fine hairs and pores on your skin lay flat. You may keep adding layers of foundation until you've reached your desired coverage. Please note that our synthetic cosmetic brushes are made especially for the application of our loose mineral cosmetics, if you use any other brush the results may not be as good. If you need to conceal any blemishes, use our concealer brush to apply the foundation onto that area. Be sure to blend out the edges. If you prefer liquid foundation either add a little water to the mineral foundation and mix well until you've reached your desired consistency or try mixing it with a dab of Beauty Balm or Zinc and Calendula Cream. Be aware if you use it with Zinc and Calendula Cream, you may need to go a shade darker than your normal skin tone to compensate for the whiteness of the cream. You can adjust the shade using bronzer or blush or a different shade of foundation if you have a tan or if you find you've purchased the wrong colour. We recommend starting out with the travel pots to establish which colour is perfect for you.

Store all Lyonsleaf products in a cool dark place to preserve beneficial compounds and avoid solid products melting.

Stored properly and unopened all products will keep indefinitely. Use within 12 months of opening.

If a solid product does melt, reset it in a refrigerator. Products containing shea butter should be warmed to a liquid state and then reset quickly in a refrigerator to avoid the shea butter forming grainy lumps as it hardens.
